Yesterday’s pre-event competition… I went in way too fired up and it was a total disaster!
Honestly… I’d been in a rough place mentally these past few days. I thought, if I enter the rally, maybe I can reset and get the passion back? — and went in way too pumped up!

But sheer willpower alone doesn’t cut it… if anything, being too wound up just made me tense up and overdo it.

Missed the trophy by a maddening one-place margin~ (sob)

Even so, at last night’s pre-event dinner, I had a wonderful reunion after five years ♪
Someone from FIVA I’d met at an event held in Japan! A nostalgic reunion, and we ended up swapping stories over old photos, one after another!!
Getting to reconnect with someone, out here in the world, is such a lovely thing!
