It has been a while. KOMO here.

There has been a bit of a gap, but I want to start posting again.

So: the crowdfunding report first.

The campaign that began the year before last closed at the end of May 2023.

431 people gave a total of ¥5,352,908. My heartfelt thanks to every one of them.

Your support has moved this challenge a very long way forward. Through the campaign I was able to connect with 431 people and had the chance to let them know what my real challenge is.

What I want to achieve is not simply entering a rally. The rally is a goal, of course — but more than that, it isthe act of taking ona rally this difficult that I want to say something with.

“You can’t do it.” I want people to see me break through and get past that wall of denial I have met before, and to notice something: that if you take something on, a road opens and what you wish for happens.

If my challenge reaches people one at a time and lands in enough hearts, then one day, in workplaces and schools and everywhere else, I believe the number of people who back a challenge rather than dismiss it will grow.

Because I think building a society where anyone can take on what they want without giving up the future they pictureis what I am for.

It may not happen quickly.

I may not change a single thing before my life burns out.

But I go on, believing that this small step and this small ripple will reach a great many people in the end.

With that in mind, and so that more people can know about what I do and how I think,I have started crowdfunding again, in a new form.

This time it is simple: individuals from ¥1,000, companies from ¥10,000, in as many units as you like and only as far as is comfortable.

Please entrust what you feel to me.

To everyone who shares this large dream of mine: I would love you to join my supporters. Will you help widen the circle?

I am going at this determined to make the dream real.

There must be people in the world who, like me, have a past in which failure, setback and denial made them give up going forward.

But I am not giving up. With no money and without a healthy body, I believe that facing the hardest challenge in the world and reaching that finish will stay in a great many hearts, and will carry what my life has been for.

Right now I need the people who will back this dream into being.

Through this challenge, I hope we can build a society where nobody gives up on a dream or on hope — by showing the world a way of living that does not give up.

Meet my hopes, and let me drive. There is a message I want to carry at the risk of my life, so I will not give up before the end.

On the final day of 37 days of rallying, reaching the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, carrying that message to the world and widening the circle of people who share it — I hope to celebrate that moment with you.

Your support holds up my body and my heart.

Thanking every one of you from the heart, I press on to make this dream happen. Thank you for being with me.
