On 12 January 2024, what looks like the final report before shipping arrived from the mechanic in England.

With the Peking to Paris Motor Challenge starting in May 2024, our challenge car, the 1929 Buick, needs to be shipped from England to Peking by boat by early February.
Please do read the mechanic's report from our previous trip to England back in November too!

Mechanic report, part 2
As always… my language skills are lacking, so I'm leaning on translation help, but…
well, roughly, this is the gist of it.
Here's the latest update on the Buick's progress.
For manufacturing the hubs, brake drums, wheels, and spinners, they're working closely with the various parties involved as a custom-order project, coordinating tightly with everyone.
They're confident they can meet the early schedule needed to ship the car to Peking.
A few issues came up with the gears currently being manufactured, but working together they've made the necessary changes, and they're pushing through a tight but achievable window to get the parts fitted and complete road testing before the event!

I wrote back with everything I had, real respect and gratitude for everyone working together to push this forward.
At this point… honestly, it's basically praying to whatever god will listen (laughs).
And, for a final check before shipping, I'm heading to England in the second half of January 2024 to confirm everything with my own eyes.
At this point, all we can do is throw everything we have into this final sprint!!
Look forward to the report!!
