With less than
a year left before the rally starts, this theatre of my life plays on…

However much I prepare,
I can never quite bring myself to think “this is enough now.”

After all, what I’m up against is
an outrageously tough rally — “half the circumference of the earth, 14,000 km.”

Even throwing everything I have at it
would make it a brutal fight on its own, and then… the thought of the “bomb” hiding inside me crosses my mind.

“You really should get that treated properly before you face the rally.”
I’ve heard that from a great many people.

But, well…
I chose the challenge over cancer treatment.

What’s right,
what I should do,

I’m always smiling in front of everyone, but
saying I’m not scared would be a lie.

But,
once I’d decided I was going to drive,
there simply wasn’t any other choice left for me.

It’s not that I don’t value my life —
I actually think, right now, I’m living valuing my life more than ever.

Precisely because I can hear the countdown ticking,
I don’t want to waste even a single second of this life.

That’s genuinely how I feel.

Thinking differently from other people,
choosing what no one else is doing…

isn’t it fine if we’re not all the same!

I’m living a life I decided for myself.

Precisely because the time is limited,
I’m living more seriously, more fully, than ever before.

Every single day…

Choosing not to blame anyone
I want to live each day, with no regrets, giving it everything I have.

At last… the doctor who’d been treating me all this time walked away from my case.
I wrestle with feelings that never got through, but what’s left is only “resolve.”

From here on, it’s the climax!
There’s absolutely no room to miss this!

Ah…
I got featured in “Sports Nippon”!

Same as Shohei Ohtani… I actually made the front page of the paper. (ΦωΦ) heh heh…

See!
This is exactly why I keep saying I’ve got the luck. (laughs)

If there really is a god…
please.

let me drive all the way to the end.
Let me stay “Komo-chan,” the same as I am, all the way to the end.
