Picking up from the previous Spain report!
The reason I decided to stay in Spain this time was: I wanted to see the Sagrada Família!
Well — it's a famous spot, and that's a pretty ordinary reason, but what I actually value when deciding on a trip is… “field and feeling”!
You're probably thinking, what's that supposed to mean, but you know how it goes — a place everyone calls a power spot sometimes just isn't one for you personally, and a famous sightseeing spot sometimes just doesn't click, right?
So what decides my destination is! “Instinct.”
And then! Here it finally is————! The Sagrada Família!
I went ahead and used the full shot (laughs). Thanks to whoever took it, even my legs look nice and long! (laughs)
Between my rushed nerves and the overwhelming crowd of tourists, I ducked into a nearby café for a little calm.

This café's atmosphere was fantastic! The donut was too sweet, but it was the kind of place that makes you forget the time. Oh no, oh no… my entry reservation was closing in, and I scrambled out of the café in a panic. (Always book your ticket ahead of time! E-tickets are easy to reserve.)
And you really should listen to the Japanese audio guide, so don't forget your earphones! I left mine at the hotel… and ended up paying a wasteful 19 euros for a cheap pair.

Something that stuck with me, visiting the Sagrada Família…
Gaudí, now a world-famous architect.
The Sagrada Família that Gaudí designed is still, even now, under construction.
There were words he left with the craftsmen back then —
“Let's build something even better tomorrow!”
Apparently that's exactly the spirit he kept instilling in the craftsmen, and that's why it can still be carried forward, even now.
When Gaudí died, in shabby clothes, with nothing in his pockets but dried fruit,
he was struck and killed by a tram.
“Is that really all a person's life amounts to?”
No… that's where it actually starts.
The Sagrada Família is still being restored even now, but Gaudí knew full well the Sagrada Família would never be finished within his own lifetime, and left behind so many clear visions, entrusting them to the generations after him… and even now, with Gaudí himself long gone, that keeps going, still…
What can we, alive right now, actually leave behind, actually pass on…
I found myself thinking he must have carried a spirit so elevated it bordered on something close to divine,
and looking at every single piece from that angle — genuine respect for him as a human being — I ran out of time long before I ran out of wonder; it turned into a truly remarkable experience.
I've put together a little of it to share ✨ in a video, set to “Ave Maria” — take a look!
